the room had a kettle with teabags, hot chocolate, milk, and sugar. a cafetière and ground coffee were also provided which i appreciated. the location was good, close to cafés and shops and also quiet. i found the room itself perfect because it had a bath and underfloor heating.

there was no option to book late checkout when i booked. i naturally presumed that i could stay until the late checkout time. staff members stood at the bottom of our bed at 12, one hour before late check out. they told us we had to leave now and pay the late checkout fee now. (this was actually a disturbing experience)

The room was equipped with a cafetiere for fresh coffee and quality teas, which i appreciated. Access to the building was simple. I received door codes ahead of time. the location was ideal, as it felt safe and was close to shops and the town center.

the hotel is in kemptown. I appreciated its easy walk to the seafront. parking instructions from the owner were clear. I found street parking a short walk away. the hotel was clean. it was also well decorated.

the room was described as superior. I felt this was an overstatement. the chandelier was hanging by its wires. it was over the beds. the room was cold during the night. the room wasn't cleaned the next day.
